Exercise ring not updating
Indoor walks are better and Other is pretty much minute for minute. Problem is not actually the Activity app, it is the Health app. As I said above in my responses, this is a temporary fix but maybe in the meantime Apple will address and fix this issue. Complete your daily Move goal by burning active calories every day. Not sure why it picked today to bork.
It seemed fine at first, but after a month or so my run distances were behind those of the other people I run with. When my watch tells me to try harder or keep going after coming home from exercise at the end of a long day, I get very frustrated. Thank you everyone for all your posts. Active calories will be estimated at a rate equivalent to a brisk walk or based on data recorded by the heart rate sensor, whichever is higher.
Helpe me realize that I was not too dumb to use this thing. The activity is clearly shown on the daily workout list but yet no credit. On the calendar, a green dot appears next to the days that you worked out. That way, I can double press the crown and flip from one to the other.
It is getting worse by the week. However, note that neither distance nor a route map are recorded for outdoor workouts under this workout activity type. For example, coaching notifications are based on your previous progress. Alas, no the same problems exist with my new watch.
If my heart rate is up and I am sweating why cant this crazy watch get it right. Get help earning Move and Exercise credit.

Sounds like the solution may be to just not wear the watch when working out. Thought my problems were resolved.
But for some or the other reason if your Apple Watch stops tracking you activities, then it is completely understandable that you get a panic attack. Alternatively, you can always have the waiting ticket in your hand, hoping Apple to get it fixed in next update. Something is clearly wrong.
Not only were they providing data to the Health app, they were providing data to each other. Looks like it is a bug with the workout app. This is for runs, walks, other exercises.
For the best results, allow the arm on which you are wearing your watch to swing naturally as you move around during daily wear and to move as expected during workouts. The workout details are recorded in health app but not on watch with exercise rings closing.
Stand Ring This is one of the most confusing terms on Apple Watch. Once I update info it seemed to work fine.

Your height, weight and gender should updated for more accurate results. Everyday, it gives me different reading and never correct, always behind.
